This post is a bit late, as this event happened Saturday night, but it was an amazing time and has to be shared. Two nights ago, Johnny and I attended our lovely and talented friend Barbara Marker's exhibition of her work in her own show, Art from the Heart.
ArtLab, located in the creative hub of Normal Heights area of San Diego, always puts on a great event, thanks to our wonderful hosts Batton Lash and Jackie Estrada. ArtLab is a fantastic venue because of the range of talent it exhibits and to quote their page, "provides a dynamic nurturing environment for creative professionals, working artists, and serious beginners." At Saturday's event, we got to see decades of beauty and talent from Barbara Marker.

Johnny and I have only gotten to know Barbara in the past few years, but only at this show were we able to see the amazing range of artwork she has created in her lifetime. From her awesome comic covers to her beautiful animal portraits and fantasy art, it's clear that the show was aptly named. We are so lucky to know this lady with incredible talent and a big heart!

Along with celebrating Barbara's artwork, it was equally wonderful to connect with good friends like Batton and Jackie, Michael Hamersky, and James Gorham.

What a night, and what a show. Every person that appeared helped make it a success, and a well-deserved success for Barbara Marker.
